My Beloved Ripley
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
I open the door and call your name and only there is a wrinkle in the air
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
I reach out to feel your fur and touch a soft memory
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
I listen for the sweetness of your sound like nectar in my ear
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
The sun did shine on you casting a shadow of joy in my life
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
And on the day that you left I held you tight against my breast
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
And every bit of your warmth did you bequest upon my throbbing chest.
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
Your passing wounded my heart so you could enter in
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
And now this sad heart holds your shadow joy
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
Your soul which now I am a part
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
Comes back to me in dreams to heal my ravaged heart
Goodbye my beloved Ripley
