Abba Abba
Hear my cry
I stand among the legions and I am set apart in a pillar of icy loneliness
My soul is preserved in cherry amber
My weeping is like a song of mourning bowed on the strings of a dark cello
I am trapped below the bitter waters of the River Jordan that have become hard as stone
My joy is ensconced in a glacier of sadness waiting to be freed
Let the warmth of your countenance release me from this frigid hell
My words hang frozen in the air like crystals on a chandelier
Isolation has chilled my bones and made them brittle
I stand against the cold wind and my hope is shattered like a rock against glass
Breathe on me so I feel your breath and know that you are near
My heart is rimed by the hoarfrost of despair
The lightness of my vibrancy has been betrayed by a thick melancholy
My awe sleeps in a wintry coffin
Set your rays upon me and illuminate my essence
I exhort you God of Israel hear my prayer
